We are seeking a Lead Veterinarian to manage our Mobile clinic, operating in the Austin area. The Lead Veterinarian is the clinician half of a leadership dyad, partnered with a Clinic Manager who serves as the administrative half of the dyad. The position is full time at 5 days per week, with one of those days dedicated to leadership and administrative tasks.

Emancipet measures quality using the six domains of quality medicine: Safety, Efficacy, Efficiency, Patient-Centeredness, Equity, and Timeliness, and the Lead Veterinarian will be responsible for the quality of medicine practiced at the Dental & Surgical Center, as well as the comfort of all patients. The Lead Veterinarian serves as the professional and compassionate main point of contact for medical questions and concerns for the clients and staff while providing support and training and ensuring fidelity to our systems and standard operating procedures. As a key strategic player in fulfilling the short and long-term goals of Emancipet, the Lead Veterinarian will proactively reach out to and develop professional, friendly, and mutually beneficial relationships with area veterinarians, promoting the clinics and our mission within the veterinary community.

Salary range: $130,000 - $150,000, dependent on experience and other qualifications

Requirements:
• Doctor of veterinary medicine degree
• Licensure in Texas or ability to obtain licensure
• Ability to obtain a DEA registration
• At least 5 years of clinical experience
• At least 2 years of experience leading a clinical team
• Dental and soft tissue surgery experience preferred
